How to play

Rugby is a sport played by many secondary schools in England, Scotland and Ireland. If you're lucky you will be able to play rugby in your primary school.  Rugby is normally played on grass and the kids playing are normally introduced to contact rugby slowly as contact can have some serious cons. Usually if you are very passionate about rugby you will start at a young age and you will start by playing Tag Rugby. Tag Rugby consists of wearing tags around your wast that the opposition have to try and take off. if they do take your tag off you must stop and pass the ball BACKWARDS. In Rugby the ball is a different format to a football instead of it being a circular shaped  ball it is oval shaped. this oval shape makes the ball easier to catch and run with. Rugby also has many different rules to football. in football you are allowed to pass the ball in any direction that you with to pass the ball in however in rugby you must pass the ball BACKWARDS otherwise it will be a foul and it will be the opposition's ball.
